摘    要：COODL是正在开发之中的一个原型性面向对象数据库(OODB)语言系统,COODL研究的目标是克服由现有系统的过分复杂化所造成对OODB走向实用化的严重障碍,为此,需要建立概念上更为简明的面向对象数据模型,并基于它形成完备的标准化数据语言,其中包括数据定义、操纵与查询等主要设施.本文介绍COODL数据模型及其语言设计的基本思想.

Abstract: COODL is a research prototype for an object-oriented database(OODB)language sys-tem. It is applied to the construction of an object-oriented data model with simple and clearnotions. Based on this model,a standardized data language with computational completeness,including the facilities for data definition, manipulation and query is established. This paper presents the COODL data model and the design consideration.
