Abstract: A new neural network model based on multi-layer perceptron for fault diagnosis of hydraulic pumps is presented, and a framework,ranging from fault signal pick and pre-processing to fault diagnosis, is established. Finally a test was done on an axial piston pump. The result shows that the proposed method is effective and can be applied to other hydraulic components.
