碳化硼粉振动球磨机理初探

摘 要:对硼酸-碳热还原法制备的碳化硼粉进行了振动球磨和普通滚动球磨过程的动力学研究。实验表明:碳化硼粉在振动球磨时表现为以体积粉碎为主的特征,而在普通滚动球磨时则是以表面粉碎为主要特征。因此,振动球磨的粉碎效果比普通滚动球磨要高数倍,甚至数十倍。建立了在本实验条件下的碳化硼粉的普通滚动球磨和振动球磨的动力学方程: d=11.33-4.46logt (1) 和 d=2.58-5.10log logt (2) 式中d表示粒子平均直径,μm;t表示球磨时间,h。
Abstract: The comminution kinetics of boron carbide (B4C) powder which wasprepared by reducing boric acid with carbon was dealt with in vibratorymilling and ball milling process. Experiment results indicate that volumesmash is the dominant factor of comminution in vibratory milling process,while in common ball milling process the main mechanism is surfacegrinding. So the effect of comminution of B4C powder in vibratory millingprocess is several times, even dozen times higher than that in common ballmilling process. The comminution kinetics equations were set up under the experimentconditions as follows: d=11.33-4.46logt and d=2.58-5.10loglogt where d is the mean particle size, μm; and t is the comminution time,h.
