摘    要：本文提出轧辊破坏的原因是辊内应力与裂纹互相作用的结果;阐述了轧辊脆性断裂和疲劳破坏的过程与实质;介绍了按线弹性断裂理论计算疲劳断辊时应力强度因子的方法。

Abstract: The present paper puts forward a new kind of view that the causes ofroll fractures are the results of the interaction between the stress and thecrack inside the rolls. The process and the essence of brittle fractures andfatigue fractures of the rolls are explained. Finally, a method of calculatingthe stress intensity factor in accordance with the theory of linear elasticityduring roll fatigue fracture is introduced.
