SELF-PROPAGATING HIGH-TEMPERATURE REDU CTIVE SYNTHESIS OF TiB2 CERAMIC POWDER

摘 要:<正>SHS method with reductive process wasused to synthesize TiB2 ceramic powder from B2O3-TiO2-Mgsystem. X-ray diffraction, SEM and Image analysis wereused to analyse microstructure of TiB2 powder and comparewith microstructure of TiB2 fabricated by SHS elements syn-thesis from Ti+B system. The results show that TiB2 powderfabricated by SHS reductive synthesis is finer (about 1.5μm), uniformer and free-agglomerate.
