A STUDY OF INTERFACES OF COMPOSITES BY MEANS OF OPTICAL FIBRE SENSING TECHNTIQUE

摘 要:<正> Fibre stress of glass fibre reinforcedpolymeric copmosites on load is determined byusing optical fibre as model fiber and bymeans of laser interference method.Inaddition,the origination of fibre stressduring moulding process of composites andthe relation between fiber stress of loadedcomposites and external stress are examined.The experiments show that fibre stress isrelated to molecular structure of interfacialmaterials and structure of inter facial layers.When stress is transferred from matrix tofibre,each interfacial layer has differentstress gradient and deformability.Thisproperty can be characterized by introducingan interfacial stress transfer coefficient k tothe two-phase model.
