Abstract: Based on the assumptions of parabolic variation of nucleation rate versus time andtransformation kinetics depending mainly on nucleation rate, a different model forbainitic transformation kinetics in hypoeutectoid steels was established. And this modelwas proved to be effective in the description of bainitic transformation by comparisonwith the result of conventional Avrami equation.``
