MICROSTRUCTURES AND PROPERTIES OF MOLYBDENUM WIRE DOPED WITH LANTHANUM OXIDE

Abstract: Wires of molybdenum doped with lanthanum oxide (LM) have been produced by powdermetallurgy and metal working methods. The microstructure and properties were investigated byusing X-ray diffraction method, optical microscope and multifunctional electronic tension testerand comparing with pure molybdenum wire(PM).It is shown that most second phase in the LMwire is La2O3 particles which can improve properties of molybdenum wire remarkably.
