Experimental Investigation of Raising Recovery Efficiency of Copper, Gold and Molybdenum with Mac-12 Collector
Abstract:
Experimental investigation of new collector Mac-12 with a little amount of butyl xanthate to raise the recovery efficiency of copper, gold and molybdenum in Sizhou concentrator was introduced. Experimental results indicated that the new collector Mac-12 was a suitable collector for copper sulfide, even if the surface of which had been oxidized and it also had a strong ability to collect associated gold. Compared with traditional xanthate flotation, this process using the new collector could improve the recovery efficiency of copper, gold and molybdenum obviously. This technology raised copper recovery by 2.34%, gold recovery by 6.43%, and molybdenum recovery by 8.36% in a small-scale closed circuit test. It raised copper recovery by 1.03%, gold recovery by 7.16 percent, and molybdenum recovery by 3.90% in a industrial test.
