Lanthanum-Promoted Ru/Sepiolite in Ammonia Synthesis

Abstract: A new kind of Ru supported on sepiolite catalyst with La as promoter for ammonia synthesis was prepared. The effects of reaction conditions on catalytic activity were discussed. The result shows that La is an effective promoter for sepiolite-supported Ru based catalyst. When the load of Ru is 5% (mass fraction), and the molar ratio of La/Ru is 1.5, under the condition of 10 MPa 450 ℃ 20000 h-1, the ammonia synthesis rate is 38.5 mmol NH3·g-1·h-1.
