Abstract: The processing of sintered brass products is described. The effect of processing parameters on the mechanical properties of the products is discussed. The relationship between the main mechanical properties and the friction and wear characteristics is analyzed. The tribological behaviour of the material is determined under different conditions (speed, load, time, environment etc). Comparison is made with that of dense products. The friction and wearmechanisms are investigated. Results are instructive to the application of the material.
