添加剂强化Fe-Si粉末压坯合金化和烧结过程机理的探讨

摘 要:本文研究了碳酸化合物对Fe-Si混合粉末压坯合金化和烧结过程的影响。实验发现:添加少量的碳酸钾或碳酸钠可以显著地降低Fe-Si的合金化温度、强化合金化和烧结过程。作者认为:这种强化效果是由于碳酸化合物与SiO2反应形成液态硅酸盐玻璃,从而去除了Si颗粒表面的氧化膜,使Fe-Si之间具有良好的接触;含有添加剂的粉末压坯所表现出的较大烧结收缩与Fe-Si体系中的单向扩散和液态玻璃相存在所产生的活化烧结有关。
Abstract: The effects of carbonates on the alloying and sintering processes of Fe-Si powder blends werestudied.It was found that small amouts of sodium or potassium carbonate enhanced markedly thealloying and sintering which took place in Fe-Si compacts sintered at temperatures in the range 800~1100℃.Enhancement of alloying is believed to be associated with the removal of oxide fromsilicon particle surfaces by reaction with the carbonate to form a liquid or partially liquid silicateglass within the pores of compacts.Much of the large sintering shrinkage exhibited by fluxed Fe-Si compacts involves a highly directional interdiffusion phenomenon and part of it is probablyrelated to the activated sintering by the formed liquid glass phase.
