Diffusion Barrier Coating System and Oxidation Behavior of Coated Alloys

摘 要: 1 Introduction Research into the formation of Re-based alloys is in progress in our laboratory to provide a diffusion barrier layer between heat-resistant alloys and Al reservoir layers, which assist in the formation and maintenance a protective Al2O3 scale for long periods. Coatings with a two-layered structure comprised of inner Re-based alloy layer and outer β-NiAl layer with or without Pt addition were successfully formed on various heat resistant alloys such as Ni-based singlecrystal superalloys, Ni-based heat resistant alloys, NiMo based alloy, Ni-Cr based alloy, and Fe-based alloys. The duplex layer coating proposed is generally termed a diffusion barrier coating system; DBC system.
