混合型模块化多电平换流器的改进载波移相控制策略

摘    要:基于半桥子模块和全桥子模块组成的子模块混合型模块化多电平换流器桥臂不仅具备直流侧故障自愈能力,而且具有更高的设备利用率和更低的功率损耗特性,提出一种适用于换流器输出电平数较少的该类子模块混合型模块化多电平换流器(modular multilevel converter,MMC)的改进载波移相控制策略。该控制策略将载波移相调制和基于排序的传统子模块电容电压均衡方法相结合,采用附加控制器维持半桥和全桥子模块阀段间电压平衡,并在PSCAD/EMTDC中搭建子模块混合型MMC仿真模型。研究结果表明:所提出的改进载波移相控制策略是可行和有效的,采用附加控制器可维持半桥和全桥子模块阀段间电压平衡,有效避免最近电平逼近调制(nearest level modulation,NLM)应用于电平数较少换流器带来的谐波问题,提高波形质量,适用于子模块数量较少的低电压场合。

Abstract: For that the hybrid modular multilevel converter arm based on half-bridge module and full-bridge module not only has DC side fault self-healing capability, but also has higher equipment utilization and lower power loss characteristics, an improved carrier phase shifting control strategy was presented for the hybrid modular multilevel converter with fewer output levels. The control strategy combined the carrier phase shifting modulation with the traditional sub-module capacitance equalization method based on sorting, and an additional controller was proposed to maintain the voltage balance between the half-bridge and the full-bridge sub-modules. Finally, the simulation model of sub-module MMC was built in PSCAD/EMTDC. The results show that the improved carrier phase shifting control strategy is feasible and effective, the additional controller maintains the voltage balance between the half-bridge and the full-bridge sub-modules. It can effectively avoid the harmonic problems, and is suitable for low voltage occasions with fewer sub-modules.
