Abstract: A new aryl amide type tetrapodal ligand L (1, 1, 1, 1-tetrakis-{[(2-benzylaminoformyl) phenoxyl]methyl}methane) and its europium and terbium nitrate complexes were synthesized. The luminescence properties of these complexes were also studied.
