Abstract: The effect of key parameters on fatigue life of common metallic components, e.g. steel, aluminium alloy, has been analysed quantitatively. The influential coverage and degree of these parameters have been investigated systematically, some phenomena which can′t be discovered with qualitative analysis method have been revealed, a series of valuable conclusions has been obtained, which would be very beneficial to fatigue-resistant design and improvement of anti-fatigue ability of metallic components.
